In honour of Avon Canada’s Centennial Anniversary, the Avon Foundation for Women will award 10 grants of $100,000 to Canadian charitable organizations who aid and/or support those touched or affected by breast cancer.
Fourteen breast cancer charities recognizedMontreal (Quebec), January 30, 2015 – The Avon Foundation for Women Canada has awarded over one million dollars in donations to breast cancer charities across Canada through its Centennial Grants program. Launched in 2014 to commemorate Avon’s Centennial Anniversary, the Foundation invited charities to submit a proposal to be considered for 10 grants of $100,000 to improve the lives of those affected or impacted by breast cancer.
After careful review and deliberation, the Avon Foundation for Women Canada announced that the grants would be awarded to the following ten recipients:

Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation
Fondation Virage
Fondation Jean-Marc Paquette
Jewish General Hospital Foundation
London Health Sciences Foundation
Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation
The Ottawa Hospital Foundation
Rethink Breast Cancer
Women’s College Hospital Foundation
Roberta Lacey, President of the Avon Foundation for Women Canada stated, “We are honoured to be able to support these charities through the Avon Foundation, helping them to continue their critical work and contribution that they make to their community.” Lacey and the Board of Directors were so impressed by the submissions that the Foundation generously decided to award an additional four extra grants of $10,000 to each of the following organizations:
