Contouring is one of those makeup artist tricks that’s gone mainstream. It used to be only for models and special-occasion photo shoots, but now you can get the look every day! What contouring does is play with highlights and shadows so that your face looks more angular (like a model!), with more definition of your cheekbones.
Step 1 is to start with foundation in your natural shade.
Step 2 is to apply a darker shade of foundation along your hairline, in the hollow of your cheeks, and under your jawline.
Step 3 is to apply a lighter shade of foundation to the centre of your forehead, down the bridge of your nose, and down the centre of your chin.
Step 4 is to apply blush on the apples of your cheeks.
Cream-to-powder formulas are the easiest to work with. Subtlety is key, and blending is a must. That’s why we’re introducing our new Avon Pro Contour Brush in Campaign 8. The super-short, wide bristles let you work the colour like an artist to create a seamless, airbrushed effect.
